It might seem premature, but these guys were out protesting right after September 11. Commie ghouls have to do what they do.
And ANSWER, which is really a Communist group, along with some fellow travelers, is back protesting against a “New War on Iraq.”
Since the US isn’t likely to bomb Maliki and the Iraqi government, all that’s left is to oppose any possible air strikes on Al Qaeda.
“I OWN A KEFFIYAH AND I’M ANGRY”
The protest flyers contain the usual mutilated baby (an anti-war staple for any conflict even if the baby is now in his fifties) and claims that the US killed billions of Iraqis, trillions of Iraqi babies and wiped out every Iraqi IKEA.
And there’s something about Wall Street wanting to control Iraq. Good luck with that. Controlling Iraq is like trying to shave an ANSWER protester. Your razor will break and you’ll be sorry you got into it.
Anyway “opponents of the US war machine” (elderly Trotskyists and bored college students) have held actions (held up signs) in such centers of US militarism as San Francisco, Auburn and Eureka. Any day now they’ll also protest in Olympia and Portland.
Mara Verheyden-Hilliard, Executive Director of the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund, told the rally, “I was in Iraq in 2002 with former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark … at that time, the Iraqi people didn’t see themselves as divided along sectarian and religious lines, they saw themselves as a people, as a united people. But the U.S. government and the generals looked at Iraq and said, ‘let us sow the seeds of division.’”
Apparently the time that Saddam killed Shiites and Kurds never happened.
George W. Bush went back in time and invented the Sunnis and Shiites and got them to begin killing each other for a thousand years. Not so bad for a dummy.
Also the genocide of the Marsh Arabs never happened. The Kurds were never gassed. And Stalin never killed anyone. Neither did Pol Pot. Just ask Noam Chomsky.
Or dig up Howard Zinn, if you have a ten foot pole, a strong stomach and tenure.
The only interesting thing about this Communist clown show is that the media, which always covered these marches under Bush, and never under Clinton, has gone back to ignoring them.
